Gemstone Diamond (Blog 5)

Diamonds are woman’s best friend and as per astrology Diamond is ruled by Venus, which is a feminine planet. Diamond is the hardest of all gemstones and probably the hardest substance known to the mankind. Diamond is believed to bear qualities of planet Venus. Venus, as per Vedic astrology, is a feminine planet, it is a significator of wife, girl friend, relationship, comfort, luxury, clothing, pleasure, beauty, romance, entertainment etc. People having good placement of Venus in their birth chart are usually good looking and are well suited for fashion industry, interior designing, modelling, acting, cinema etc. Lakshmiji is honored as the ruling goddess of planet Venus.

Diamonds come in many different shapes, sizes, colors and characteristics which makes each Diamond unique and hard to compare. All polished Diamonds are valuable and rarity of a Diamond increases its price dramatically. Diamonds are judged on Four C’s – Color, Clarity, Cut and Carat. Colorless Diamonds are scarce, most of the Diamonds display a hint of Yellow or Brown color in them. Colorless Diamonds are more expensive than colored Diamonds. Clarity of the crystal is another major factor in deciding the price of the stone. Diamonds with no inclusions are extremely rare to be found and are really expensive. Cut of the Diamond displays the skill of the craftsman. Venus is the significator of beauty and a perfectly cut stone is beautiful which commands higher value than an unevenly cut stone. Carat is the weight indicator of the crystal and higher the carat higher it will price.

  1. […] Ruby is worn on the ring finger on Sunday during sunrise hours. Ruby is ideally set in a Gold or a Bronze ring. Since Ruby is a warm stone hence it should always be worn under the guidance of a gemstone expert else it may create a lot of troubles. An incorrectly worn Ruby may even lead to high blood pressure. No gemstone should be worn without an expert consultation. At times we come across articles suggesting, Ruby is good for people who are born under Leo sun sign, which is an incomplete evaluation. Ruby should be avoided if any planet is getting combust because of powerful Sun in the birth chart. A combust planet is usually shown by letter “(c)” in the birth chart and a planet with (c) symbol in the birth chart means it has lost its luster and shine because of its closeness with Sun. Wearing Ruby in such a case will further weaken the combust planet. Ruby is usually not worn along with Blue Sapphire (Neelam), Hessonite (Gomed) and Diamond. […]

The term “Diamond”, evokes images of a pristine white gemstone. However, diamonds form in a variety of naturally occurring colors, from black to red. One of the most stunning of these fancy colored diamonds is blue or pink.
